HM-628 Surface Sizing Starch
Application:
The product can be formed an even and smooth starch film on the paper surface which greatly increase the picking speed and improve the printing surface.
Performance and Advantages:
1. The cooking process is easy, there is no peak occurs during the gelatinization process, the starch can gelatinate at a low temperature and rapidly reach a stable low viscosity for use. It can be cooked at high concentration.
2. The paste has low viscosity at high concentration and is suitable for sizing under high concentration which meet the growing needs of papermaking development.
3. The paste has excellent thermal viscosity stability and fluidity, less impacted by ambient temperature, which makes the sizing effect more stable.
Usage:
Add a certain amount of cold water into the gelatinizing tank, boot the stirrer and next add an appropriate amount of HM-628, control the slurry concentration at 5%-20%. Stir for 5 to 10 minutes to make the slurry evenly, after that, heat up to 95℃ slowly by keeping the heat-up rate at 2℃ to 3℃ per minute. Keep 95℃ for 30 minutes after the starch gelatinizes completely. Finally pump it into the storage pool to prepare the required concentration with water.
